FIRST DATE - Chenango River Theatre
“While the musical has no big show-stopping number, “I’d Order Love” in Act II comes close. The up-tempo song gives Moran, as the chummy waiter, the opportunity to romp across the stage singing about his quest for love. The moment is one of pure hilarity and deserves special mention.”

The Irish & How They Got That Way - Capital Rep
“Together they produce excellent music, some of it spellbinding. Worth special mention are Patrick John Moran, whose lyric tenor rises gloriously in "Skibbereen" and "Danny Boy";”

The Irish & How They Got That Way - Capital Rep
“One of the hardest working people in this show is Patrick John Moran. A very busy Irish tenor, his voice lends an absolute ring of the genuine to the ensemble. He absolutely charms the audience even with a cigar in his hand and he never fails to bring a thrill to a song singing full throat, with a robust tone and a lyrical and melodic aim that is so strong it is almost visual. He also plays guitar and percussion. There is a constant sense that his characters are too sweet and personal to settle anywhere, or on any one thing and Moran milks this quality to perfection always leaving his audience wanting just a bit more from him, a thing he withholds to the dignity of each composer's intent..”

“In the salute to Cohan, the cast wittily plays the Cohan family, and it was such a pleasure to watch Patrick John Moran recreate George M. Cohan’s signature cocky, stiff-legged dance style. (You’re familiar with it if you’ve ever seen James Cagney in the film Yankee Doodle Dandy.) Moran broke my heart with his gorgeous Irish tenor when he sang Danny Boy, but I must admit, I’ve long been a sucker for that song.”

THE MUSIC MAN - Cape Playhouse
"The barbershop quartet – made up of Carl Clemons-Hopkins, William Mulligan, Patrick John Moran and Jack Doyle – sounds and looks great, and their counterpoint duet with [Ms. Kaitlyn] Davison is simply beautiful.”

"The Barber-Shop Quartet, members of the River City school committee, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Jack Doyle, Patrick John Moran and William Mulligan, provide an effective and melodic running gag throughout the performance."
- Iris Fanger, The Patriot Ledger, 2017
“ Throughout the show, the numbers by the school board members [Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Jack Doyle, Patrick John Moran and William Mulligan], who realize they make a great barbershop quartet, are standouts. "Sincere," "Goodnight Ladies" and "Lida Rose" were special treats within this treat of a musical."
